Jamella's Diablo 2 Hero Editor
Version 4.0 Beta 9b [Aug 29 2001]


Well, I don't think there is much to explain about
this program. Quite frankly I don't think anybody is
going to read this file.

You should check the size of the executable BEFORE
you start the program in case it was infested by a
virus or trojan.

The correct file size is 927,232 bytes, created on
August 29th 2001!

Just click the file menu and then the open menu item
select your character and edit away! After editing save
the changes you made and then load the character in the
game.

Comment: Yeah I get that too, but I've found out that Jamella 4.0b or 4.0c is for version 1.08 or 1.09 only. (I have 1.07) And when I try to install the 1.08, the 1.09 or even 1.11 patch it says that this patch is for another version of Diablo. What the heck should I do ?

Comment: Fix for Jamella error (Use both 3.0 and 4.0) Get Jamella 3.0, creat charator then save, load game and conver or open charator then close, and now you can open Jamella 4.0. btw I'm Grawaren

Comment: No new work has been done on the jamella editor since 1.09. If you are using a newer version of D2 you should check out zonfire99's hero editor. http://ladderhallrealm.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14030

Comment: I've been able to use the ShadowMaster editor from this site for 1.07 characters. Unfortunately I can't find any item packs online and you can't really create any items except gems and runes. Be careful not to import items from a later version as this may ruin your save game (I think). Always backup your character files before editing just in case. I've only just started using it so I'm not sure about everything. At least you can use it to save your items to disk, for use on other characters.

Comment: I used to use this Editor way back in the early 2000s and it work great. I had a lot of fun with it. I built a new computer recently and reloaded the D2 and D2 expansion games on it and it runs great (I haven't played D2 for years). However, now I keep getting this error message and it's really beginning to annoy. I keep creating characters and the error message keeps popping up. Can someone please tell me how to stop the insanity?! Appreciate any help. Thank you

Comment: You must not change too much. There are some items that can cause the game to crash imo. I suppose you aren't allowed to delete items by using the editor. And you mustn't change the appearance of the charakter in the screen. So just put the new items in the inventory. Most of the time this way of changing works for me. Best regards.
